  6. I learned that people that have diabetes have to take shots (insulin) to take care of themselves. A person has to be very aware of blood sugar and test at often intervals. Dogs/people can't have too much sugar. It's important to know the types of foods that are good for diabetics. Certain foods can wreck blood sugar if given at the wrong times. I loved playing this.

  9. I learned that many animals can have diabetesand that they need to be careful. I also learned that insulin is vital to a diabetic. Certain foods are good for diabetics and others are not. Though, those foods can help at times. I think this game helps us learn subconciously, while soome have fun taking care of their dog. Thanks for shaaring thhis game Ms. Davis!

  11. I learned that diabetes can be a very dangerous disease. In the game, I had to take care of a dog with diabetes. The dog had to do something besides sitting there or else it would get low blood sugar. I learned that certain foods have low carbohydrates, so when i fed those to my dog, his blood sugar didn't go up very much. All I had to do to get it back to normal was take him on a really short walk. When the dog would get really high blood sugar, one shot of insulin wouldn't help that much. Diabatics have to monitor how much insulin they need based on the amount of carbohydrates they ate. If you don't monitor the insulin, whether you're human or dog, you can die. I think this game taught how important monitoring insulin is in order to stay healthy if you have diabetes. I really liked playing this game because it was fun and I learned at the same time. 15. This game is really fun and educating. You learn to give your dog insulin and treat it well with walking, treats and love! But be careful not to give it too many sweets, just the right amount.Because if you give too many or too less your dog could have low or high blood pressure!
    Thanks Morgan.S 6C
