After recent class discussions over the pacific garbage patch, and what we should do with this trash in an effort to clean it up, I've been doing some more reading.
A few students pointed out that we could just shoot the trash into space. Some other students suggested this was a bad idea and really doesn't solve the problem.
I found this article that might give us some background as to why it's not a good idea for us to shoot more debris into the solar system. Read the article and then tell us what YOU think!

THIS IS SUPER BAD THAT I HAD TO TURN ON THE CAP LOCK. IT IS SAD THAT WE CREATED BOTH MOUNTAINS AND GLOBAL GARBAGE SOUP BUT TRASH IN SPACE THATS JUST LOW EVEN FOR US !
ReplyDeleteWE HAVE TO DO SOME THING ABOUT IT WE ALL READY FILL UP MOST OF OUR LAND FILLS AND CREATED MOUNTAINS OF TRASH BUT A COMMIT OF TRASH THATS JUST CRAZY WE HAVE TO DO SOME THING ABOUT THIS SOON THE TRASH WILL GATHER UP AND COME DOWN TO EARTH AND MAYBE DESTROY IT.
