Solar System Junkyard

After recent class discussions over the pacific garbage patch, and what we should do with this trash in an effort to clean it up, I've been doing some more reading.

A few students pointed out that we could just shoot the trash into space. Some other students suggested this was a bad idea and really doesn't solve the problem.

I found this article that might give us some background as to why it's not a good idea for us to shoot more debris into the solar system. Read the article and then tell us what YOU think!
